Amazon_S3_Configuration

 

Overview

The Amazon S3 configurations are currently decentralized throughout the system, so this document explains where each of the features that utilizes S3 is managed.

The features that currently leverage the S3 file structure are:

  1. Attachments Settings
  2. Store Media Settings
  3. Catalog Upload Bucket
  4. User Profiles
  5. Supplier Attachments + Placeholders

S3 Configuration Details

Document Attachment Settings

Attachments that have been added to a document are stored in S3.

This is managed in the Admin Control Panel at 'Manage System Configurations > Global > Attachment Management > General Settings'.

Store Media Settings

The Store Media is stored in S3.

This is managed in the Admin Control Panel at 'Manage System Configurations > System Management > Site Configuration > Unsecure (and Secure tabs)'.

NOTE: The S3 login parameters are shared and managed within the Attachments Management area described above.

Catalog Upload Bucket

The Catalog Files that are uploaded by Suppliers and Administrators are stored in S3.

This is managed in the Admin Control Panel at 'Manage System Configurations > Master Data Management > Catalog Management > Amazon S3'.

NOTE: The S3 login parameters are shared and managed within the Attachments Management area described above.

User Profiles (Avatars)

The User-imported Avatars that are uploaded by End Users are stored in S3.

This is managed in the Admin Control Panel at 'Manage System Configurations > Master Data Management > User Management > Avatar Images'.

Supplier Attachments and Logo Image Placeholders

The Supplier-provided Attachments and the Supplier Logos are stored in S3.

This is managed in the Admin Control Panel at 'Manage System Configurations > BuyerQuest Network > Supplier Configuration > Supplier Attachment Storage (and Supplier Placeholder Images)'.
