9.2.0 Release Features and Functionality (February 28, 2019)

The BuyerQuest February 2019 Release, 9.2.0, includes a number of updated and new product features.

Features for End Users

Back Ordered Status Added as an Option for Product Stock Availability 

The Stock Availability field found in the Inventory tab in Product Information accommodates the additional status of "Back Ordered" for administrators and suppliers to use to designate products that cannot be fulfilled immediately.

The option "Back Ordered" may be specified in the "in_stock" status field on an import of the Common Fields file.

The "Back Ordered" label displays prominently as a status in the Product Listing, Product Details, Product Quick View, Quick Order, and Search Results pages. 

Back Ordered items may be added to carts and included in Subscriptions and Requests in addition to being saved to Shopping Lists.

Shopping Cart Rules Enabled for Minimum Order Amounts

Users and suppliers will benefit from Document Rules being extended to Shopping Carts to support Minimum Order Amounts as specified by a Supplier. The Admin Control Panel includes a new Cart Rules section enabling specifications and display messages for rules governing Supplier-required minimums in Shopping Carts. Cart Rules also have the potential to specify and enforce other policies. 

Administrators are able to review and edit Cart Rules from a Grid. Cart Rule Information to be specified includes Display Message, Status, Content Groups, and whether cart submission is permitted when a rule is triggered. 

Shipment Tracking URL Included in ASN

Users may track shipments using the tracking url value in all ASNs, including those created via cXML. Clicking on the URL displayed in the ASN will open a link to the tracking information in a new tab or window.

Features for Administrators

Customization of Search Result Page Message  

Buying organizations may configure a content management (CMS) block on an as-needed basis on the Search Results page to customize messaging for usersThe CMS block can accommodate instructions and/or a link to a form for administrators to provide additional direction to users when they are searching.

Request for Quote (RFQ) and Quote Summary Reports Exports 

RFQ Requests and Quote Summary Reports are available as File-based Exports to provide administrators with a summary of this key information for status review and management.

Exports may be specified with date ranges. Fields in the Summary Reports include dates, status, suppliers, and other critical fields from the RFQs and Quotes grids.

Redirect May be Specified for Return to Marketplace 

A configuration in the Admin Control Panel has been added to allow administrators to specify the Marketplace Home Page or Shop by Supplier Page as a redirect from the Return to Marketplace link. This ability to configure the redirect location allows administrators to direct users to the Marketplace Home page where they may be encouraged to comply with strategic procurement policies such as purchasing recommended products from preferred suppliers.

 Import of Products without UNSPSC Mappings May be Prevented

Additional configurations available in the Catalog Management area of the Admin Control Panel may be set to prevent Products without UNSPSC to Commodity Group or Category Mappings from being added to the system.  These configurations can be set to exclude unmapped Products and thus prevent downstream propagation of incorrect accounting values.
