Product Pricing Types
Product pricing on the BuyerQuest platform includes two types:
Static Pricing
Determined from the common fields import and any manual product information changes.
Variable Contract Pricing
Determined by applying variable discounts to list prices of products through the specification and upload of Contracts Pricing Terms.
Product Pricing Prioritization
The following pricing sources are shown in the order of priority, with the highest priority listed first.
Quote Prices
Prices quoted from a Supplier in an RFQ or in a Supplier-initiated Quote will function separately from pricing terms specified for Contracts. A Quote Price is not superseded by any other pricing.
Non-Catalog Prices
Prices via Web Forms and Non-catalog items (including non-catalog quote items) have pricing separately from Catalog items and these prices have no impact on Contract prices.
Variable Contract Prices for Catalog Items in SKU-Level Contracts
Prices from an Open SKU-level Contract having the most recent Effective Date (in the event of multiple Contracts associated with the SKU) takes next priority. Up-charges for selected custom options will be added to the Contract price.
Variable Contract Prices for Catalog Items in Supplier-Level Contracts
Prices from an Open Supplier-Level Contract with the most recent Effective Date takes next priority. Up-charges for selected custom options will be added to the Contract price.
Tiered Prices from a File Upload
Prices uploaded via the Tiered Price file take next priority. Up-charges for selected custom options will be added to the price.
Static Contract Prices
Prices uploaded via the Common Fields file take next priority. Up-charges for selected custom options will be added to the price.
Pricing for Items in More than One Catalog
Products may belong to more than one Catalog and each Catalog may specify a different List Price for the item.
The same discount, as specified in the Pricing Terms, is applied to the items across all the catalogs it is included in.
