Business Intelligence Overview and Configuration

Integration with a third-party business intelligence and analytics application provides rich data reports based on end-user activity such as spend by category or spend by user role.

BuyerQuest's module for Business Intelligence is available as an add-on application, providing powerful tools to leverage data from the BuyerQuest system. Default reporting and dashboards offer visualizations for use in spend and category management.

General Configuration of the Business Intelligence Module

Configuration of the business Intelligence module is available from the Admin Panel at SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION > Settings and Configuration > Manage System Configurations > Business Intelligence > General Configuration.

1. To Enable Integration with the business intelligence module, select Yes.
2. Add the URL for Analytics - Main Menu. Samples for all the URLs are shown here. 
3. Add the URL for Budgets - Main Menu.
4. Add the URL for Budgets - Shopping Cart.
5. Add the URL for P2P Payables Analytics, available from the Accounts Payables Dashboard. 
6. Add the URL for Contracts.
7. SSO Integration Enable - select Yesto enable SSO implementation.
   Note

   Setting both Enabled Integration and SSO Integration Enable gives front-end users automatic access to business intelligence reports.
8. GoodData SSO Provider - authentication provider identifier. This corresponds to "SSO Provider" value in the business intelligence API.
9. GoodData Support Email (Optional)  - all SSO requests are sent to this email address.
10. GoodData Security Email  - user identifier for the public key for encryption.
11. System Support Email - user identifier for our system's public/private key for signing messages.
12. System PGP Path - path to GPG (GNU Privacy Guard) command.
13. System Key PassPhrase - a text phrase which was used during generation of PGP key-pair, and is used for signing message.
14. System Keys Home Directory - path to our system already-imported PGP keys directory in case our system is using the separate directory as keystorage.
15. GoodData General Login Email.
16. Save the Configuration. 

Accessing Business Intelligence Reports

Analytics and Budget reports from the business intelligence application are available from the BuyerQuest Main Menu for users whose permissions allow access.

The Accounts Payable Dashboard provides payables reports to user with Enable Analytics Access set to Yes in User Permissions. 

Business Intelligence for Contracts

Contract spend graphs are available from the Good Data Business Intelligence module and are displayed on the Contract Details page.
